Paxton--and Ole's--lies right in the center of some of the best fishing and hunting in the state of Nebraska.  Lake McConaughy, just 30 miles west, offers an array of game fish and the Platte River canal system around Paxton provides plenty of trout action.  In the fall, there's great hunting for pheasant, quail and a variety of waterfowl on thousands of acres of natural habitat in the vicinity.  We offer special services for the hunter and fisherman. We'll direct you to where the fishing is hottest and help you find the best hunting. And when your day in the field is over, you'll find cleaning facilities and freezer space right back at Ole's Lodge.
